The Indus Delta Blue Carbon project in Pakistan is one of the largest environmental restoration projects in the world. Over the past decade, Indus Delta Blue Carbon led by Nadeem Khan, has worked with local and provincial governments to create a project that is now moving to commercial phase.

The project’s environmental and social impact is material. Over the project’s lifetime of 60 years, it will sequester 142 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) over its 250,000-hectare ecological footprint. For context, this is 0.14 gigatonnes – annual global CO2-e emissions are 40 gigatonnes.
