Gaia acted as Joint Lead Manager to James Bay Minerals’ (ASX: JBY) highly successful and oversubscribed IPO, which listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in September 2023 at $0.20 per share.
James Bay Minerals is an Australian exploration company with a portfolio of lithium assets in the James Bay region of Quebec, Canada—one of the world’s most prospective hard-rock lithium districts. The company’s projects are strategically located near major discoveries and infrastructure, offering significant exposure to the global battery metals supply chain.
Following its IPO, JBY expanded its exploration and development footprint through a series of precious metals acquisitions, broadening its commodity base. Gaia’s involvement helped position JBY with a strong institutional and retail shareholder base and broad broker support from its well structured IPO.
Since listing, JBY’s share price has appreciated over 400%, reaching a high of $1.03 in October 2025, reflecting growing market recognition of its asset quality and execution capability.
Note: Gaia’s principals conducted the IPO via a related entity of Gaia Natural Capital Pty Ltd
