Gaia established Revaia as a new corporate vehicle to pursue an acquisition and consolidation strategy within the Australian carbon market. Revaia was designed to integrate high-quality carbon advisory, trading, and project development businesses into a single scalable platform.
Over the course of 2024, Gaia raised $1 million in seed capital to acquire two trading entities into Revaia and subsequently led a $5.5 million raise to fund its growth and sale to RegenCo, one of Australia’s leading carbon project developers. The transaction delivered scrip-based consideration to Revaia shareholders at material premiums to their initial entry valuations.
Acting as corporate advisor and executive management, Gaia leveraged its deep relationships across the Australian carbon market to assemble the core Revaia team, engage specialist advisors, and identify acquisition targets. Gaia’s principals undertook the Managing Director and CFO functions, overseeing due diligence on dozens of carbon assets, negotiating key commercial terms, and managing all transaction documentation, settlements, and completions.
Gaia also introduced cornerstone investors into both the seed and Series A rounds, including a leading Australian investment house and a Singapore-based commodities trading firm.
